Nature of providing personal information and the consequences of a refusal
The provision of personal data by the user is voluntary. You are free to decide whether or not to provide personal data to GG Publishing, and you can subsequently revoke previously provided consent to the processing of personal data. Revoking your consent could lead to you not being able to use the Website of GG Publishing or services booked via the Website.
Processing modalities
The processing of the personal data of the user occurs only when needed and is carried out exclusively in electronic form, in particular by: collection, registration, organisation, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, access and communication, blocking, deletion or destruction of data. Personal data is processed by GG Publishing, in particular by:

The Website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics by Google Inc. („Google“) in order to analyse the use of the web pages. GG Publishing uses Google Analytics solely with the extension “ga (‘set’, ‘anonymizeIp’, true)”, ensuring that IP addresses are only processed as a shortened version, in order to exclude any direct reference to individuals. Google may share data with third parties, provided that this is required by law or third parties process data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate the IP address of the user with any other Google data.

The Website does not use any profiling cookies.
Social Media Plugins
This Website uses social media plug-ins offered by the most important social networks (e.g. Facebook and Twitter). When visiting the Website, the browsing data may be transferred directly to the social networks concerned, even without users’ direct interaction. Users acknowledge and agree that the operation of social networks’ plugins is managed directly by the company that manages the corresponding plugin. When users use the plugins available through the Website (e.g. log in with their login details to a social network, or link their accounts, click on the Facebook “Like” or “Share” button), the users’ browser establishes a direct connection with the server of that social network, which sends the contents of the plugin directly to the users’ browser.

In its function as Data Controller, Grund Genug Verlag und Werbe GmbH, Vancouverstraße 2a, 20457 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “ GG Publishing”) shall inform its customers, prospective customers and other contractual partners about the personal data that is regularly recorded with the scope of a contractual relationship and/or precontractual relationship. - The fulfilment of the contractual relationship, in particular in relation to the publishing and printing of GG Magazine, the processing of advertisements that are placed in GG Magazine, the processing of orders for subscriptions to GG Magazine, the direct distribution of GG Magazine and shipment to direct mailing companies (legal basis is Art. 6 I lit b. of the GDPR)
- Promotional information about GG Publishing (legal basis is Art. 6 I lit f. of the GDPR; the legitimate interest of GG Publishing arising from the processing of personal data for the purpose of direct advertising.)
Transfer of data
If your enquiry concerns services provided by other companies in the GG Publishing Group, GG Publishing shall transfer the personal data you provided to the respective company in the GG Publishing Group after receiving your prior consent. Please read the information about referrals at the end of this Privacy Policy.
Moreover, your personal data will only be transferred by GG Publishing for the fulfilment of the contractual relationship, and only after prior consent by you in many cases.

Privacy Policy pertaining to a speculative application or an application in response to a specific job advertisement
As Data Controller responsible for applicant management (hereinafter referred to as “Application Process”), Grund Genug Verlag und Werbe GmbH, Vancouverstraße 2a, 20457 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “GG Publishing”) shall process personal data.
This personal data shall include the first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, curriculum vitae, and other information and documentation submitted (summarised hereinafter as “personal data”).
By partaking in the Application Process and submitting your application, you are making your personal data available to GG Publishing.
Purposes of the processing
GG Publishing processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Verification of the application for an employment relationship within our company (the legal basis is the precontractual relationship pursuant to Art. 6 I lit. b of the GDPR and/or your consent pursuant to Art. 6 I lit. a of the GDPR, if you have applied via the global online jobs portal of Engel & Völkers AG.)
- Defence against any possible legal claims resulting from the Application Process being made against GG Publishing, insofar as this is necessary (the legal basis here is the legitimate interest of GG Publishing to fulfil its burden of proof in legal proceedings pursuant to the German General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeiner Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG)); Art. 6 I lit. f of the GDPR.)
- Additionally, GG Publishing shall process your personal data on the basis of your previously granted consent in order to inform you about interesting job vacancies. These job vacancies shall be sent to you from time to time by the specialist department of GG Publishing that you addressed your application to
GG Publishing requires your personal data in order to be able to fulfil the purposes of processing as stated above. You are entitled to not make any personal data available to GG Publishing. In this case we cannot enable you to be included in the Application Process for job openings.
Requirement of data transfer and the consequences if you revoke your consent to process data
We shall only process your personal data if it is necessary. This processing shall take place either digitally or in paper form. Moreover, the procedures involved in processing your data shall also involve, in particular, the recording, registration, administration, saving, editing, selecting, comparing, accessing and communication.
Please note that the sending of e-mails as part of the Application Process is unencrypted. If you are not in agreement with this, please contact us by post. GG Publishing shall treat your data with the utmost confidentiality and in accordance with legal data protection standards.
Access to personal data and/or forwarding of this data to third parties
Your personal data shall be processed by the respective employees of GG Publishing responsible, or equivalent individuals. These shall include:

- Administrators and other trustworthy IT support employees who are authorised and obliged to provide technical support for the Application Process

If you have applied via the global online jobs portal of Engel & Völkers AG, your application documents shall be transferred by Engel & Völkers AG to us. You shall be notified as part of the application process about the ways in which Engel & Völkers AG processes your personal data and you can access this information at any time via the global online jobs portal on the respective website of Engel & Völkers AG.
