FS Rox Star by Christina Libuda | 4th June, 2021 | Prime Properties

Contemporary yet timeless, this stunningly beautiful ketch was built in Turkey. Step aboard Rox Star and enjoy a unique journey with truly state-of-the-art amenities, rock’n’roll vibes and some classic values.

While her elegant sails reach high up into the sky, Rox Star’s shiny black hull dramatically glides its way through the waves. Home for this sporty sailing yacht is the open ocean. This is where she prevails over all the forces of nature and is the undeniable star on the horizon. On deck, the sturdy steel constructions – outstanding design features in themselves – cannot fail to impress whoever sets eyes on them. They give the yacht, built in 2015, a particularly striking countenance. The Bodrum Oguz Marin shipyard has created a genuine masterpiece with Rox Star. One that is always ready to set sail around the world. She is the second major design triumph for the Turkish shipbuilders, who already brought us the majestic yacht ‘Regina’ – which starred in the James Bond film ‘Skyfall’. Rox Star was first unveiled in all her beauty and to considerable acclaim at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show.

Rock ’n‘ roll at heart and so seaworthy it is possible to circumnavigate the globe with her.

Rox Star is quite unlike any other sailing yacht. This is patently clear the moment one sets eyes on her. The shape of her hull alone sets her apart from other sailboats in her 40-metre class. Her freeboard is set around half a metre lower than that of other more standard vessels, giving her a far sleeker look. The entire construction of the yacht, meticulously handcrafted throughout, is testimony to true passion and incredible attention to detail. The lamps, for example, are custom creations and even the floors have been specially cut. The Italian marble used in the bathrooms has been carefully crafted so that the grain flows continuously around all corners. The interior on board whisks guests away into the world of rock ’n‘ roll. The award-winning Swiss design studio K-Architectes, based in Geneva, has given a unique signature look to the interior design, capturing the rock concept with immense creativity and confidence. While interior concepts on board other yachts are often limited to classic or modern, Rox Star somehow manages to evoke a unique and timeless feel that is playful above all else.

Metallic accents, premium quality black leather, the finest wood panelling and portraits of rock legends on the walls – the elegant interiors create a cosy yet cool atmosphere. The large windows act like picture frames, affording incredible views out to the blue expanse of ocean beyond. Discreet skylights give an even greater sense of space by enhancing the natural light shining in – like at the cocktail bar in the lounge area.

In the exclusive beach club at the stern, it’s as though you have the ocean all to yourself.

Rox Star offers modern and luxurious accommodation for up to ten guests in five spacious double cabins. She can also accommodate six crew members. The cabins each preside over an en suite bathroom and various high-tech entertainment devices. The master suite awaits with another highlight on top – a marble bathtub specially designed for the yacht, as well as a Turkish steam bath. Time on board can be enjoyed here in the utmost relaxation. Unusually for a sailing yacht, she even boasts her own beach club, located at the stern and benefitting from direct access to the sea. The range of water toys mean fun is guaranteed. Rox Star is much more than merely a yacht – she is a lifestyle.
